NACH DER NATUR (DE)
MUSIC AFTER NATURE ist ein Festival für zeitgenössische und alte Musik, Performance und posthumanen Diskurs. An zwei Tagen erkunden wir Wechselwirkungen zwischen Natur und Mensch, Kultur und Technologie im Zusammenhang mit Klimawandel, Artensterben und gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen im Anthropozän. Wir als Menschheit sind längst in einem Kontinuum aufgegangen; Natur, Mensch, Technik und Kultur interagieren in vielfältiger Weise und sind nicht mehr voneinander zu trennen.
AFTER NATURE (EN)
We as human beings have merged into a continuum; nature, mankind, technology and culture interact in so many ways and can no longer be separated from each other. We stand after nature as well as after technology and after anthropocentrism. The critical situation of the earth tells us that the continuum is developing a life of its own while our understanding of humanity is being redefined.
We will use music, sound art and performance, listening and discussion as tools to explore the interdependencies in our world. We present contemporary works – including three premieres – that relate directly to our environment and the post-human convergence, to ecology and feminism. Selected positions from the period before the Enlightenment – that is, music and ideas from the Renaissance and the early Baroque – complement the discourse.
